About Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club

Zulu traces its roots to 1909, when a club of laborers known as 'The Tramps' saw a comedy skit about a Zulu king. Its hand-decorated coconut may be the most coveted throw in Mardi Gras, and its most famous king was Louis Armstrong (1949). [source]
